Managing lakes through a whole catchment approach
The UK and Ireland Lakes Network is an association of people and organisations who recognise the challenge of managing lakes through a whole catchment approach, but acknowledge that this is only achievable through the sharing of the experience and expertise we have jointly gained so far.
UKILN is a charitable trust. The trustees are:
Tony Dean – Chair
John Pinder – Secretary
A wider management group helps to plan and steer the development of the network.
A network for sharing information
This web site is available to all who have an interest in our lakes. It is a tool to network with others who may have expertise or ideas or enthusiasm to share on lake management.
The network was not conceived to be a site for major bodies and agencies alone, but for anyone who can contribute to debate, advise and or are prepared to share experiences, as well as those who have a general interest in lakes.
Find out what’s going on in and around our lakes
This website features information provided by different interest groups in the form of bulletins, event listings and in-depth articles.
There is also a forum area for the discussion of hot topics.
